Every object on this shelf has a reason for staying.

Collection shelf

Small objects, personal memories.

My collection is made from characters, stories and moments that I wanted to keep close to me.

Some objects remind me of a character’s courage. Others carry memories of friendship, comfort or something I achieved inside a game. Together, they form a small archive of my fandom life.

Stories I can hold

My shelf is more than a display case.

I do not collect objects simply because they are cute or rare. I keep them because they allow characters and stories to remain present in my everyday life.

A doll beside my bed, a complete series on my bookshelf or a figure I arranged by hand can remind me of a character’s courage, a personal achievement or a period of my life. My shelf is therefore less like a product display and more like a small archive of feelings and memories.

Inside the collection

Four objects, four reasons for staying.

Two large Furina cotton dolls representing her human and divine sides

Object 01

Genshin Impact · Cotton dolls

Two sides of the same promise

Furina is my favourite character in Genshin Impact. At first, her dramatic behaviour made her seem exaggerated, but the truth behind Fontaine’s story completely changed how I understood her.

I collect both versions because I see them as two sides of the same determination to protect a beloved nation. Even without knowing the full plan, Furina continued performing the role of a god for five hundred years. Her endurance and sense of responsibility are what made me admire her so deeply.

Characters beside my bed

Columbina is my second favourite character in Genshin Impact. I love her flowing dress, closed eyes, veil and mysterious, almost divine appearance. Her unexpectedly playful and slightly mischievous personality makes her even more memorable to me.

I bought the Citlali cushion because its design looked soft and adorable. I keep it beside my bed and often hold it while sleeping. It has become more than decoration because its softness gives me a small sense of comfort and security.

The complete nineteen-volume Chinese novel collection of The King's Avatar

Object 03

The King’s Avatar · Novel series

A story about playing together

I first watched The King’s Avatar in 2019. Its story follows Ye Xiu, an experienced player who rebuilds his team after being forced to leave his former club.

I was already deeply interested in games, so its language about characters, roles and teamwork felt familiar to me. The line “Glory is never a one-person game” stayed with me because it also describes my experience of playing Honor of Kings. Collecting the complete series allows me to keep a story about persistence and teamwork on my own bookshelf.

A Gongsun Li figure arranged inside a handmade illuminated winter scene

Object 04

Honor of Kings · Pop Mart figure

A character and an achievement

Gongsun Li is my favourite character in Honor of Kings and the marksman I play most often. She is also the only character with whom I reached a gold ranking badge and more than 10,000 Hero Power through my own effort.

I pulled this figure from a Pop Mart blind box after first pulling another character. The clear outer shell and snowy scene were arranged by me to match her winter-themed costume. It records both my affection for the character and an achievement I worked hard to earn inside the game.

Collecting with intention

I do not need to collect everything.

Fandom products are constantly released, and it would be easy to treat collecting as a race. I try to choose objects connected to characters I genuinely love, stories that stayed with me or memories I want to preserve. A smaller collection with personal meaning is more valuable to me than owning every available item.
